Homework
APRIL 6-12
"Have fun with Line Variety"
There is so much personality in line
Think of the ways line can express personality, movement, texture, age
For example, sketchy lines can make great hair or fur, zig zags can express crazy hair, fast and free curly cues for curly hair, thick, strong line for jock's jaw line, etc.
Fill 5 pages of sketchbook with diff kinds of lines
Then apply to 5 drawings

"Line Economy"
Try your hand at minimalism. Stare 3-5 min at subject.
Take in all you can, then only draw 2 things about that person.
What information is the most essential? could you get away with just the hair type and the nose shape? Or just the eyes and the lips? Or eve more challenging, the top of the hair shape, and the bottom jaw line? How do these lines work together to show resemblance ?
Try 5 of these.

"Work on Line weight/ inking"
Draw with your mind open but your eyes almost closed.
Try 5 drawings where you lightly sketch it out first
(don't be too detailed, leave some things left to work out in ink)
then, squint or remove glasses, and ink not being able to fully see what you are doing.
This way you will likely push the limits of line weight.
Remember, any time you can work from life is better practice than photo.
Have fun and have a good bunny weekend !
