Class Overview: Learn to draw caricatures from seasoned caricature artist, Melita Lewis Collins.
What You Will Learn: You will learn the basic concepts of capturing a person in seconds with just few well placed lines. Students will learn, develop, and practice skills of increasing speed and drawing accuracy, all while having a blast.
All Drawing Levels Welcome: This is a no judgement zone! I firmly believe that anyone can draw caricatures. No prior level of expertise or art background is needed. This class is really meant to be a beginning class for anyone curios about how one goes about drawing a caricature and would like to develop a new skill to take home to their friends and family. My very first caricature was drawn over 20 years ago, and I still smile when I think about how much fun it was to do my first few.
Materials/Resources: All materials needed will be included at class. Paper, pens, markers, easels, etc. If you would like to bring a small sketchbook for your own notes or inspirations, please do. Come in comfortable clothes. Water, Tea & Coffee provided, bring snacks if desired.
