F.A.Q.'s
1. How Long does take to get my caricature ? Normal turnaround time is around two weeks. That is based on the day the artist is given the green light to start the project and the day of received photo's and or deposit. (Not the day you first email a your order form or inquiry).
2. What if I need it sooner ? Usually this is no problem. But it is called a "rush order" and certain charges may apply.
3. How much does it cost ? I really wish I could list my prices online. Drawings are completely customizable, but that also means that there is a huge range of prices based on picture size, usage, number of subjects and degree of detail. I can tell you however the price range is comperable to a nice pair of jeans (per head). But remember, lots of people own a great pair of jeans, not that many people have custom artwork in their home. So it's a pretty special thing to be able to comission a portrait at that price.
4. Who does the shipping ? Most orders are sent US priority mail which takes about 2-3 days to ship anywhere in the continental USA. Framed orders are usually sent UPS Ground and can take up to 7-10 days.
How much is Shipping ? Usually around $12 -$20 for unframed caricatures. $25 framed. and $30 Rush (overnight)
4. I am not comfortable with the internet. Can I speak to a real person ? Yes ! Not only that but you can speak to a real artist on the phone. Simply call 207-756-9798 and ask for Melita. Artist and owner of yourcaricature.com.
5. When do I pay ? For some small jobs, you may pay when its done. You will be able to approve a preview before you need to submit payment. Rush orders and Larger Orders (over $60) require a deposit. ( 25% non refundable) due before production has begun.
6. How do I pay ? Want to be my best friend forever ? Make coolest client of the year ? Pay by check up to a week in advance by mail and save the 3% paypal fee. I will pass that savings on to you !
I have also paired up with good old paypal to make online transaction fast and simple. So paying for a caricature through your bank account, or with a major credit card has never been easier. You don't need a paypal account to pay with credit card simply use the secure paypal site to enter in your card info same as checking out with Amazon.com
7. How do I send my pictures ? Simply email or snail mail them to the studio. If sending by email, Please re-name files with the names of the subjects . Remember to keep file sizes to a min 500 kb and max of 3 mb tops. If sending through regular mail, allow 3 business days for delivery. Please write names of subjects on the back of the photo. I return all original photos in the mail with your final piece. Mailing address is available apon request.
8. Will it look like them/me ? Resemblance is one of my strongest skills. After drawing 20 thousand plus faces in ten years of professionally drawing caricatures your odds are pretty good that it will come out looking like the subject. That being said, since I don't know the individuals I am drawing, the photo's must be good quality, infocus head shots, that you think resemble and represent the person accurately.
